Service Disclaimer

I. General Limitations on Service

A. Pre-Existing Conditions:

Our cleaning service is designed to improve the appearance and sanitation of your carpets, rugs, and upholstery. However, we are not responsible for damage, color loss, or permanent staining caused by pre-existing conditions including, but not limited to:

  • Permanent Stains: Stains from certain substances (e.g., dyes, bleaches, pet urine that has penetrated the padding) that have set permanently into the fibers. While we use advanced methods, we cannot guarantee the removal of all stains.
  • Wear and Tear: Fraying, delamination (separation of carpet layers), stretching, or damage caused by age, heavy traffic, or improper initial installation.

Browning/Wicking: The reappearance of spots or stains after drying is common and is known as wicking. If wicking occurs, we offer a one-time complimentary re-treatment within 48 hours of the original service.

B. Furniture and Breakables:

You are responsible for removing all fragile, valuable, or easily breakable items (e.g., glassware, electronics, decor) from the cleaning area. While we take reasonable care, we are not liable for damage to any items left in the workspace. We will move basic furniture (sofas, tables) at our discretion, but we are not responsible for damage to the furniture itself or any items inside the furniture (e.g., drawers, cabinets).

II. Pet-Related and Odor Issues

A. Pet Urine and Odor: We can significantly reduce pet odors, but 100% permanent removal of deep-set pet odor is not guaranteed through surface cleaning alone. Complete remediation may require additional services, such as specialized sub-surface extraction or pad replacement, for which there will be an additional charge.

III. Drying Time and Post-Service Care

A. Drying Time: Drying times vary significantly based on temperature, humidity, and airflow. While most carpets dry within [3-4] hours, we recommend keeping traffic light until the carpet is completely dry.

B. Customer Responsibility: You agree not to walk on cleaned areas with street shoes or remove any protective furniture tabs/blocks we place under furniture for at least [24] hours following the cleaning. We are not responsible for damage caused by the premature removal of these protectors.

IV. Payment and Disputes

A. Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with the results of our service, you must notify us within [48] hours of the completion of the service. We will return to inspect the area and attempt to resolve the issue at no additional charge.

B. Limitation of Liability: Should a valid claim of damage occur due to the direct negligence of Tru-Steam Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, our liability is strictly limited to the cost of the cleaning service rendered or, at our discretion, the cost of repair or replacement for the damaged item, provided a receipt or proof of value is presented. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and South Carolina.
